Mission

This blog is intended to be an outlet to express my views, ideas, concerns, trials & tribulations.  It will be a chronicle of our endeavors to become more “green” and to live more sustainably – attempting to come closer to operating a self-sustaining home in the village.  There will be many hurdles along the way, and no guarantees that we will be able to overcome them all – only time will tell.

In these pages you will also find our experiences with our animals (pets, and possibly livestock one day as well) – most interestingly with our dogs – especially the biggest of the big, our Mastiff.  We will document both the joys and dramas of owning such a large animal, and of feeding a raw diet.

While this is a personal account of our journey, it is my hope that this blog will anyone who is thinking about undertaking any of these tasks, and help you to realize that the path to sustainability is not black or white, but various shades of green.
