The Dogs

Faith: A Norwegian Elkhound mix adopted from the local shelter, she’s the first of our current dogs – she’s definitely one of the wildest dogs that I’ve ever met, but after LOTS of work from all of us, she has become an integral member of our family.
Sarge: Our newest addition, Sarge was just adopted on Labor Day, 2009. He is a 5 year old English Mastiff, and has definitely changed our understanding of dogs as a species. Sarge currently weighs 170 pounds, and is very fit & trim. Sarge is the first dog that we have ever had as a family that was immediately an integral member of the family as soon as we adopted him. The mastiff personality is the perfect compliment to our family dynamics.
The Cats
Sebastian: Sebastian was our first cat adoption – when we adopted him he was the runt of the litter – so small that he fit in the palm of our hands. What a surprise that he has grown to be a 25 pound giant of a cat! He was raised by our dog at the time, and certainly seems to think he’s more of a dog than a cat if you take his behavior as an indication.
Pebbles: …
The Rat Pack (literally)
We used to run Trinity Rats Rattery, and many of our current pet rats are pets that we kept from our breeding. Contrary to what many people believe, rats make phenomenal pets – unfortunately, we found that we did not have the time to devote to the rattery, so we have discontinued our breeding.
The Boys – Kreacher, Dobby & Albus: All of our boys are American Blues, and are all Trinity Rats offspring. They are the mellowest and most loving rats that we have ever encountered. Kreacher specifically is amazing, but males in general are slow and relaxed, and make fantastic pets.
The Girls – Nymphadora, Cali, Reba, Tilly & Zelda: Tilly & Zelda are 2 of our original pet rats – they are old, but are part of what started it all. Cali & Reba are the ones that truly sold us on rats as pets. They were adopted from Sweet Genes Rodentry – Debbie is an amazing breeder, and has really developed her lines well. All Trinity Rats animals are offspring from Cali who was co-bred with one of Debbie’s boys. Nymphadora is one of our offspring as well. She is another great specimen – just much more hyperactive, as the girls tend to be.
